Becker has come out on top in the rankings of the best CPA exam prep for 2021.
We polled our former students to determine the best CPA exam prep provider. 80% of our students responded to our questions where we asked for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each category.
The methodology to determine the CPA rankings included weighting eight different categories including:

Pass Rate
The average CPA exam pass rate is 45%. Becker’s pass rate is reportedly 94%. Most CPA exam providers have a pass rate of around 75%. I think a lot of the pass rate is inflated because the student of Becker is generally higher than the average CPA student. Since Becker has the institutional tie ins, they get all the Big 4 talent.
Reputation
Becker has been around since 1957 and is arguably the oldest CPA exam prep provider in the United States. It has maintained the number position reputationally for as long as I can remember.
Value
Becker received low scores for value due to the $2300 sticker shock. Students that have to pay out of pocket for their course scored the company particularly low.
Video Lectures
Most students put Roger CPA ahead of Becker for video lectures. Becker is still top 3 however.
Audio
The company has still not created an audio option. Many students want an audio option. I would say that it is one of the fast growing segments of the market and it is bewildering that they would ignore audio.
Practice Questions
Becker practice questions were noted for the SIM’s. For multiple choice questions, the field was more evenly distributed.
Becker App
The app has a 4.8* rating with over 6,400 ratings. This is number one in the field.
Customer Satisfaction
Over 82% of our customers were reportedly satisfied or very satisfied with Becker. This is in line with previous years.
